I ordered a big sample bag with a small amount of many colors and have found it great for needle felting. http://www.mielkesfarm.com/<br /><br />Two years ago I asked a neighbor that had sheep if we could watch them get sheared. After the shearing we bought an entire fleece for about $8. I completely underestimated the amount of effort that was required to get it ready to needle felt. It took about 1.5 weeks working 4 hours per day to get it washed (and it still is pretty dirty). Now it needs to be carded (carders cost around $50/pair).
